Danny Green Was Robbed In His Last Few Days In Canada Before Moving Out To Los Angeles

Former Toronto Raptors and now Los Angeles Lakers’ guard Danny Green said on his podcast, Inside The Green Room, that he was robbed in the last few days of him being in Canada before he moved out to L.A. He was touring in Vancouver, leading different basketball camps that taught kids a variety of skills after winning the NBA Finals with the Raptors back in June.

Green said on his podcast, “Everything else was great on the camp tour, but there was one thing that didn’t go great — we started off rocky in Vancouver. We booked the Airbnb, on the pictures it looks great, it always does — I stay in a hotel but a lot of guys stay in an Airbnb. They go to check in and we go to eat and they’re like ‘yo we gotta change (Airbnb’s) it’s old, it’s raggedy, it feels haunted,’” Green said.

He continued with his story, saying, “so we go check out the Airbnb and we go upstairs and we’re there for about 10 minutes… So we go back outside and we pretty much got robbed. Not robbed of everything, but two book bags gone — and one of the book bags had a lot of stuff in it,” Green said, according to Yahoo Sports.

He continues on to say that his group went out looking for the people who took their bags that were placed outside, but never found them. He didn’t reveal what was in the backpacks.

After capping off a great one-year tenure with the Raptors by winning an NBA Finals, his time in Canada is finished spoiled after being robbed in the streets of Vancouver. He now moves on to L.A. to play alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He will be a vital wing player as he is a consistent three-point shooter that will be a great outlet for the James-Davis isolation duo, and has valued experience in multiple NBA Finals with the San Antonio Spurs and the Raptors.
