Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) criticized the Democratic House’s impeachment inquiry on Wednesday stated that the Trump Administration’s “incoherent” Ukrainian policies render it incapable of engaging in quid pro quo with Ukraine.
“What I can tell you about the Trump policy toward Ukraine: It was incoherent. It depends on who you talk to; they seem to be incapable of forming a quid pro quo,” Graham told reporters on Wednesday.
Graham made the statement after further evidence of quid pro quo emerged on Tuesday. He refused to even read the documents – transcripts of current and former diplomats testimonies that were released by House investigators.
On Tuesday, Graham told a CBS News reporter: “[about U.S. European Union ambassador **Gordon Sondland**‘s reversal] I’ve written this whole process off … I think this is a bunch of BS.”
Graham called the entire process a “sham” and “crock” which he refuses to legitimize.
