Trump’s Border Wall Breached By Drug Smugglers, Federal Agents Report

Border Wall at Tijuana and San Diego Border

The U.S. border agents and officials have reported that sections of President Donald Trump’s border wall adjoining Mexico have recently been breached by smuggling gangs. The smugglers had sawed off portions off the wall. The saws had cut through steel and concrete in the wall where there were no electronic sensors.

The smugglers used these wide openings in the wall to infiltrate people and drugs in the U.S.

The president said he had not heard reports of holes in the wall. “We have a very powerful wall, but no matter how powerful, you can cut through anything in all fairness,” Trump said. “But we have a lot of people watching. Cutting is one thing, but it’s easily fixed. One of the reasons we did it the way we did it, it’s very easily fixed it. You put the chunk back in. But we have a very powerful wall. But you can cut through any wall.”

Matthew Leas, a spokesman for the Customs and Border Protection, told CNN, “Any characterization that the wall is not working is ridiculous. The wall is working.”

A welding crew was sent to repair the opening when a breach is noticed. Despite the repair, smugglers target the same spot as the metal and the concrete at the bollards’ cores have diminished in strength.

The smugglers camouflage the breach in the border wall by using putty. They use this tactic to continue using the breach in the barrier and deceive the Customs and Border Protection agents.

The smugglers use makeshift ladders to climb over barriers and into the San Diego and El Centro regions of the bord

Trump bragged earlier in September that the border wall would never be breached.
