Jinkies! The Gang Is Back In A New Scooby-Doo Movie!

After over a decade, the Mystery Crew is back and ready to solve more cases than ever. A new 3D animated version of the beloved Great Dane and his peculiar gang is coming to theaters next year, and it actually sounds exciting. Have you ever wondered how Scooby and Shaggy met? Well, we’ll finally get to see how this unusual pair became best friends and how they joined the Mystery Inc. gang.

Scoob!keeps the essence of the beloved cartoon, but it has a new modernized vibe that will surely captivate new audiences. So, again, since the live-action movies aren't that great, now we’ll get to see Fred, Daphne, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby hitting the road on their amazing Mystery Machine going after ghosts and monsters.

Besides getting to see how the gang got together (even in these first images we get to see a touching moment between a young Shaggy and a puppy Scooby), the story explore Scooby’s background and an alleged secret legacy that connects him with a ghost dog known as Cerberus, like the mythological Greek creatur. Or perhaps he is the mythological creature… We’ll just have to wait and see.

The movie will be directed by Tony Cervone, who, let’s say, is quite connected to the Scooby-Doo storyline, since he directed the first live-action film, Scooby-Doo!with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Linda Cardellini, Freddie Prinze Jr., and the great Rowan Atkinson. But perhaps, besides the stunning animation, what will grab the audience’s attention is the recently announced cast.

For fans of the live-action movies, you’ll be happy to know that Frank Welker is coming back to voice Scooby, but there are some major additions to the gang. Will Forte has been chosen to bring Shaggy to life, while Zac Efron will be the handsome Fred. We’ll also get to hear Gina Rodríguez as Velma, and Amanda Seyfried as the popular Daphne. Besides them, it was also announced that Tracy Morgan, Ken Jeong, and Mark Wahlberg will be joining the crew.

Scooby-Doo was first launched in 1969, and though you would think the premise would get old for new generations, it seems that if it weren’t for those adorable meddling kids that have kept wining our hearts over all these years, Hannah Barbera’s classic would’ve not been around for so long.

Scoob!will hit theaters on May 15th, 2020. So, make sure you get enough Scooby Snax in the meantime and get ready to catch some ghosts...
