Trump Goes To Walter Reed National Medical Center For Unscheduled Exam

President Donald Trump went to Walter Reed Medical Center unexpectedly for a check-up on Saturday. The White House said Trump checked into Walter Reed for an examination and laboratory tests. The White House said the appointment was made by Trump as he anticipates a frenetic political schedule in 2020, but sources say that the visit was not previously planned.

Trump Medical News Update

On Saturday evening, White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham told Fox News host Jeanine Pirro that the president is healthy.

Grisham told Pirro, “He’s healthy as can be. He has more energy than anybody in the White House. That man works from 6 a.m. until very, very late at night. Anticipating a very busy 2020, the President is taking advantage of a free weekend here in Washington D.C., to begin portions of his routine annual physical exam at Walter Reed.”

Trump tweeted on Sunday morning that he was in great health.

Trump’s previous annual physical exam took place nine months ago in February of 2019.  His sudden visit to the hospital has come about amid the presidential impeachment hearings in the House of Representatives.

Grisham said Trump was “healthy and energetic without complaints, as demonstrated by his repeated vigorous rally performances in front of thousands of Americans several times a week.”

In 2015, Trump’s physician, Dr. Harold Bornstein, certified that he would be “the healthiest individual ever elected to the Presidency.” The doctor wrote Trump’s “physical strength and stamina are extraordinary.” The doctor later admitted that the letter was dictated by Trump.
