During the fifth round of the 2020 Democratic presidential debates, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) slammed the Democratic Party – and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) fired back at her.

The first question Gabbard was asked during the debate Wednesday was to explain why she believed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the “rot” of the Democratic Party. Gabbard stated she thought the party was too influenced by the foreign policy establishment was running to end the “Bush-Clinton-Trump foreign-policy doctrine of regime-change wars.”

Clinton has accused Gabbard planning to run as a third-party nominee and being groomed by the Russians.

After Gabbard spoke, Harris was asked to respond to her remarks. Harris stated Gabbard’s frequent Fox News appearances and attacks on other Democrats made her unfit to be the party’s nominee. Harris noted Gabbard’s past criticism of President Barack Obama.

Harris then stated she has the ability to go toe-to-toe with President Donald Trump and bring the nation together.
