New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has hit headlines with a possible elbow injury and is questionable to appear in tomorrow’s game. The Patriots (9-1) are set to square off against the Dallas Cowboys (6-4) on Sunday in an anticipated Week 12 match-up. New England is favored to win as they look to stretch their lead out over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, who currently sit at 7-3.

The reported injury is to Brady’s right elbow as he appeared on the injury report as a limited participant. Also appearing on the report, Julian Edelman (shoulder), Patrick Chung (heel/chest), and Philip Dorsett (concussion). New receiver Mohamed Sanu (ankle) went from a non-participant to limited, showing promise to the Patriots receiving corps.

The Patriots offense has struggled as of late, relying on a very solid defense to protect their 9-1 record. So far this season, Brady has thrown 14 touchdowns with 5 interceptions. He has been sacked 16 times. With week 12 approaching, the Patriots will look to extend their lead in the AFC East. New England’s defense has claimed the title of number one thus far, wreaking havoc on opposing teams’ offenses. Combined, the defense has accumulated 37 sacks, has forced 11 fumbles (two leading to touchdowns), and has caught 19 interceptions, all 19 leading to touchdowns. Brady and company are always quick to address the defense as a solid foundation for the offense to feed off of.
The 42 year old is no stranger to injury, missing very few games however in his 19 year career. Last year, he suffered a lacerated right (throwing) hand, which required stitches. He did play that Sunday’s game. In 2014, two notable injuries included a Grade 1 ankle sprain and a calf strain, but he was able to play both subsequent games. With the Patriots offense struggling, they’ll need their superstar quarterback to lift them up.
