Tom Brady Challenges Lamar Jackson To Foot Race After Record-Breaking Night

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - DECEMBER 12: Quarterback Lamar Jackson #8 of the Baltimore Ravens passes the ball against the New York Jets at M&T Bank Stadium on December 12, 2019 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson had an impressive Thursday night against the New York Jets completing 15 of 23 passes for 212 yard with five touchdowns. But bigger news is the record he broke, passing Michael Vick‘s single-season rushing yardage total for a quarterback with 1,103 yards.

This is the new standard and he still has two regular season games to go.

Jackson has often times been compared to Vick, but Jackson is not the new Vick. He is everything you want in a franchise quarterback.

But aside from the game, a New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady tweet has taken some of the spotlight.

Following the game, Brady tweeted out, “Me vs Lamar, 40 Yard Dash on natural grass but he has to wear rollerblades. Who’s buying the PPV?”

That’s right. The 42-year-old Brady has challenged Jackson to a foot race. Well, one where Jackson is on roller blades. Brady has shown he still has capabilities in his run game, putting up a decent run in their game against the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

Brady himself has recently surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for his career, but holds Jackson on one rushing stat in touchdowns.

Jackson humbly replied to Brady’s comment, “Tom’s still got a little bit in him. I’ve seen him.”

Jackson and the Ravens look to hold their top spot in the AFC North as they look towards the Cleveland Browns on December 22 on CBS.
