Jeep teases heavy duty electric mountain bike during Super Bowl ad

On Sunday during the 54th annual Super Bowl commercial breaks, Jeep not only advertised the latest Gladiator pickup, but also teased the e-Bike, an all-electric, all-terrain mountain bike.

Though Jeep primarily used its commercial slot during this weekend's Super Bowl to promote the latest Gladiator with the help of Bill Murray and a friendly groundhog, there was a quick shot in the ad teasing a Jeep-branded electric mountain bike: the e-Bike.

While the bike was only in the clip for a split second, the company published a complementary page online revealing a few more details about its very first all-terrain electric two-wheeler made in partnership with the electric bike maker QuietKat.

Riders will be able to get up to 40 miles on a single charge thanks to a 750-watt motor; 4.8-inch tires have been designed to trek over all terrains, and the suspension "has all the tractive capability you've come to expect from the Jeep brand."

Interested customers can sign up to receive more information about the bike as time draws nearer to its official launch.

Jeep's e-Bike is scheduled to go on sale this June.
