Trump Attacks Pelosi At Manchester, N.H. Rally, Crowd Chants ‘Lock Her Up!’

WASHINGTON, DC - FEBRUARY 04: House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) rips up pages of the State of the Union speech after U.S. President Donald Trump finishes his State of the Union speech in the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives on...

President Donald Trump held a rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Monday night ahead of the New Hampshire primary to divert attention from his Democratic competition. During the rally, he took time to attack those he blames for his impeachment.

Never-short of a nickname, Trump took jabs at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California), whom he called “Mumbling Nancy.”

Trump’s imitated Pelosi’s response to his State of the Union Address that he made to Congress last week. “I had somebody behind me who was mumbling terribly, mumbling, mumbling,” Trump reported. He continued — “[it was] very distracting, very distracting.”

The crowd responded by chanting, “Lock her up! Lock her up!”

The president did not stop there. “We have the highest poll numbers we’ve ever had — thank you, Nancy!” Trump continued.

He then expressed confidence about the general election. He told the Manchester audience to vote for a “weak candidate” in the Democratic primary, exclaiming, “go ahead and pick one.”

“I hear a lot of Republicans tomorrow will vote for the weakest candidate possible, of the Democrats,” he said. “I’m trying to figure out who is their weakest candidate. I think they’re all weak.”
