On Tuesday, Katy Perry tweeted about her struggle with mental health amid her pregnancy and the coronavirus pandemic.

“Sometimes i don’t know what’s worse trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm,” she tweeted.

This was not the first time Perry publicly spoke about her struggle during these difficult times.

On Saturday, Perry performed in SHEIN’s Together virtual festival and later talked about her pregnancy. The livestream event was held to raise money for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.

“I think a lot of that is hormonal and I’m not used to being around so many people all in a confined [or] a small space for so long. I’m used to going [out] all the time,” Perry said.

During the livestream, Perry added that she has about “five good days” followed by some bad ones. “I cry when I look down at my toes or I cry when just doing simple tasks.”

The singer has spent her time in quarantine with her fiancé Orlando Bloom. Though the couple had to postpone their wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they are busy preparing for the arrival of their baby girl.

Perry and Bloom have yet to reveal their baby’s due date.

Despite her pregnancy struggles, Perry is looking forward to motherhood. “I want to wish all the mothers a Happy Mother’s Day and I am so excited … and I think ready to join your club. I hope you are doing well and staying safe,” she said on Saturday.
