Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel Calls Trump A 'Petulant Child Who Refuses To Follow Rules'

Attorney General Dana Nessel (D-Michigan) accused President Donald Trump of threatening her state’s health and safety for not wearing a mask while touring a Ford plant in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Trump quickly responded by saying how he “brought business back to Michigan.”

During the interview with CNN on Thursday, Nessel criticized Trump for his uncompromising stance of wearing a mask, despite seeing over 97,000 people dead in the United States.

“The president is a petulant child who refuses to follow the rules,” Nessel said.

Following the interview, Trump mocked Michigan’s Attorney General by switching the topic from public health to jobs. His Twitter post read:

“Do nothing A.G. of the Great State of Michigan, Dana Nessel, should not be taking her anger and stupidity out on Ford Motor – they might get upset with you and leave the state, like so many other companies have – until I came along and brought business back to Michigan. JOBS!”

Nessel responded to Trump’s remark by replying to his post.

“[It] seems like you have a problem with all [three] women who run MI-as well as your ability to tell the truth. The auto industry has been thriving for years [because] of our incredible auto workers [and] companies,” she said in her post.
