The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild voice actors wrap work on sequel

'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' sequel's voice actors have revealed their work is finished on the hotly-anticipated' follow-up. Marc Navarro and Nerea Alfonso, the voice actors for Revali and Zelda's Spanish dubs, let slip to Spanish podcast 'A Coffee With Nintendo' that they wrapped their work on the second instalment in the Nintendo franchise. They also insisted that they weren't sure they were meant to say as much. Little else is known about the sequel. In October, rarely-wrong Nintendo leaker Sabi claimed they are aiming for a release frame for next year, which would make sense as it was recently reported that they are planning to put out a new Zelda game every 12 months. Though the above should be taken with a pinch of salt, as nothing has been confirmed by Nintendo, and release dates often get moved around, especially given the Covid-19 pandemic, which has seen so many releases pushed back. It was announced back in March 2019, that developers Monolith Soft were working on a new 'Legend of Zelda' game. The company - who is behind the 'Xenoblade Chronicles' series - put out a call for developers to join the exciting project, which required new programmers artists, designers and workers in other roles. Despite Monolith Soft's primary work on 'Xenoblade Chronicles', it has a history with the 'Zelda' franchise. It co-developed 'The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild', plus 2011's 'The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword'. Although it's not yet known whether the new game will follow on from the open-world style established in the latter Switch title, Monolith Soft's involvement suggests it could go in a similar direction. Meanwhile, Nintendo released Game Boy classic 'The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening' on the Switch in September. And 'Cadence of Hyrule', a crossover between 'Legend of Zelda' and Brace Yourself Games series 'Crypt of the Necrodancer', dropped last summer.
