Los Angeles, US.- Actress Kelly Preston, known for her roles in films such as "Twins" and "Jerry Maguire," died from breast cancer at the age of 57, her husband John Travolta announced.
"It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta said in an Instagram post. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many."
"My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered," he added.

Preston and Travolta had two children: Ella, 20, and Benjamin, 9. In January 2009, their son Jett died, aged 16.
Preston's career began in 1985 with a role in the film "Mischief" and gained fame with her appearances in "Twins" (1988), "Jerry Maguire" (1996) and "For Love of the Game "(1999). Later, she appeared in "Battlefield: Earth" (2000), "Death Sentence" (2007) and "Old Dogs” (2009).
She also appeared in the video clip for the Maroon 5 song"She Will Be Loved.”
Herlast role on the big screen was in the biographical crime film “Gotti” (2018), in which she played the wife of the New York City mobster John Gotti, who was played by Travolta.
The last post on Preston’s Instagram account from June 22 read “Happy Father’s Day to the best one I know, we love you,” alongside pictures with Travolta and their children.

Preston and Travolta met at a screen test for their 1989 comedy, “The Experts,” and were married in September 1991, when the actress was pregnant with Jett, their first child.
She was previously married to fellow actor Kevin Gage (1985-1987), dated George Clooney, and was engaged to Charlie Sheen.
