Joe Jonas and wife Sophie Turner have welcomed their first baby, a girl named Willa, on Wednesday night in a Los Angles hospital. A representative said in a statement, “Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are delighted to announce the birth of their baby.”
A source told Entertainment Tonight, “The couple is already obsessed and can’t stop gloating about their new addition. The couple is taking time to enjoy this special moment and have only shared the news and updates with family and friends.”
In June, Jonas and Turner reportedly bought a larger home in Los Angeles.
The two married last year in secret after the Billboard Music Awards in Los Vegas where they exchanged candy Ring Pops instead of real wedding bands. However, they later had a large extravagant wedding last summer in France.
Jonas and Turner have been practicing social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic. In an interview on SiriusXM, Jonas spoke on this, saying, “We’re having a good time. We got married last year, so we’re still enjoying that time.”
While the two have been laying low, Turner took to her Instagram to show her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. She wrote, “My heart is heavy. I stand in solidarity with those speaking out against racism and fighting for justice and equality. Silence is not an option.”
Jonas is one third of the band The Jonas Brothers, where he performs alongside his brothers Nickand Kevin Jonas. Turner is best known for her role on HBO’s Game of Thrones where she played the role of Sansa Stark.
