Suzuhiro Kamaboko, the well-established kamaboko manufacturer based in Odawara, has released a new limited-edition product series in collaboration with Dragon Quest. The Slime Kamaboko is a fish cake inspired by the cute mascot of the Dragon Quest roleplaying-game series.
The Slime Kamaboko is available in two variations: the Slime (light blue) and the She-Slime (orange-yellow). Suzuhiro Kamaboko, boasting a history of over 150 years, is known for making incredibly delicious kamaboko fish cake using only natural ingredients and no preservatives. Traditional plant-based colorings were used for recreating the popular Dragon Quest characters using kamaboko.
The Slime Kamaboko can be used as topping for salads, bento lunches, sandwiches, and snacks. They pair well with vegetables, and as eaten as-is with a tinge of soy sauce and wasabi.
