Konami urges fans to go "easy" on 'Silent Hill' rumours
There's been many rumours spreading around the internet as of late about the 'Silent Hill' franchise: with some people believing that a new game or event will be announced at some point in the near future.
It's IP owner Konami recently kickstarted even more fan speculation, when they tweeted a clip of the iconic siren sound from Silent Hill 2.
However, the company later explained that this wasn't them teasing an announcement, and in a follow-up tweet they apologised for "[getting] people fired up".
Konami also insisted that "anything official" would be posted on the 'Silent Hill' Twitter account: not Konami's.
However, it seems the tweets have caused fans to speculate even more, as the 'Silent Hill' page they mentioned is brand new: it wasn't launched until July 2020!
