PS5 games won't support PS4 controllers

The next-gen console is set to be released later this year, and although some PlayStation 4 games will be playable on the console, when it comes to titles made for the PlayStation 5, gamers won't be able to use the PlayStation 4 DualShock controller.

Sony revealed in a statement: "We believe that PS5 games should take advantage of the new capabilities and features we're bringing to the platform, including the features of DualSense wireless controller".

However, if someone is playing a PS4 game on the next-gen console, then they will be able to use a PS4 controller in that situation.

Sony stated: "The DualShock 4 wireless controller and PlayStation officially licensed third-party gamepad controllers will work with supported PS4 games."
