President Donald Trump on Monday during the rally in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, claimed that he deserves a third term in office because his campaign was “spied” on back in 2016.

“We are going to win four more years,” Trump said. “And then after that, we’ll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years.”

Trump’s administration’s own FBI announced that there is no evidence of illegal spying during Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The U.S. Constitution states that a person can only serve up to two terms.

Franklin D. Roosevelt is the only president in the United States ever to serve more than eight years, and the Constitution was amended after his presidency to limit presidents to two terms.

Trump reportedly asked South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) last year about whether he could have his face carved onto Mount Rushmore along with some of the greatest presidents in the history of the United States, telling her that it has been “his dream.”
