Former Trump fixer and personal attorney Michael Cohen featured in a video advertisement featured against President Donald Trump, emphasizing that the president cannot be trusted.
“For more than a decade, I was President Trump’s right hand man, fixer and confidante … I’m here to tell you he can’t be trusted and you shouldn’t believe a word he utters,” Cohen said.
Later in the advertisement, Cohen continued, “The president is going to talk to you about law and order. That’s laughable. Virtually everyone who worked for his campaign has been convicted of a crime or is under indictment, myself included.”
Cohen is currently serving a three-year sentence from his home in Manhattan for lying to Congress, tax evasion and campaign finance fraud. He was moved there from prison due to ongoing coronavirus concerns. His tell-all book on Trump will be released in September.
The advertisement was funded by American Bridge 21st Century, a Democratic PAC.
“The people who know Donald Trump best are sounding the alarm: our country cannot survive four more years of a Trump presidency,” the PAC tweeted.
Cohen may appear in more videos with American Bridge before the election.
