The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump super PAC, released a video called “Trump Stooge,” attacking Sen Susan Collins (R-Maine) for not speaking up against President Donald Trump and ultimately helped him keep his job during the impeachment trial.

Collins, who video describes as “Trump stooge,” is one of a few Republican swing votes in the Senate.

“Sen. Collins never stands up to Donald Trump,” the narrator says. “Sen. Collins isn’t an independent. She’s a fraud. Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump control her voice.”

“Susan Collins doesn’t work for Maine. She works for them. And Maine deserves a leader, not a Trump stooge,” the narrator concludes.

In February, Trump was acquitted by the Senate on the charges he faced in his impeachment trial. Collins was one of the Senators who voted in favor of the acquittal.

“I hope the President has learned his lesson, but we will have to see,” she said in February.
