Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania Trump’s Former Adviser, Cooperating In Multiple Criminal Investigations Of Trump Inaugural Committee Finances

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, a former adviser and close friend of Melania Trump, said she is working with prosecutors as they investigate potential financial crimes related to President Donald Trump‘s 2017 inauguration.

“I’m working with three different prosecutors, and it’s taken over my life,” Winston Wolkoff told ABC News Monday.

Winston Wolkoff’s interview came the day prior to the release of her tell-all memoir Melania and Me, and did not provide ABC with evidence of the claims she made in the book or interview, per The Hill.

She did not confirm if she had audio tapes that would support her allegations, but said she “can back up everything that’s in the book 100 percent.”

The investigations she referred to include the Southern District of New York’s subpoena of Trump’s inaugural committee pertaining to potential illegal contributions from foreigners, the D.C. attorney general’s lawsuit against the committee and the New Jersey attorney general’s subpoena from last year.

Winston Wolkoff was a leading organizer for the inauguration and considered Melania a close friend for over a decade. She said, however, she was “thrown under the bus” by the Trump administration after investigations into the committee’s finances began springing up in 2018.

The Trump inaugural committee told ABC in a statement that it “disagrees” with Winston Wolkoff’s “description of this historic event,” but did not wish to “engage in her efforts to sell books.”
