Katya Jones has reportedly urged 'Strictly Come Dancing' bosses to partner her with Nicola Adams.
The 31-year-old star - who was caught kissing her 'Strictly' partner Seann Walsh in 2018 - is eager to form the show's first same-sex pairing with Nicola, who is set to star in the upcoming series.
A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Katya has been telling everyone on the show how keen she is to be paired with Nicola. She's a huge believer in girl power and thinks they'd make a great team and be a hit with the viewers at home."
Katya - who split from fellow dancer Neil Jones in 2019 - is also keen to "redeem" her reputation following the kissing scandal two years ago.
The insider continued: "She sees it as a chance to make history but also to redeem herself on the show after her scandal two years ago.
"She's a real girls' girl and is keen to move on from that.
"Equally, show bosses know that Katya will have everyone talking about her and Nicola if they partner them together.
"Plus she's one of the most competitive dancers and can really think outside the box when it comes to choreography so can really push the boundaries on the dancefloor.
"Katya has stiff competition as a lot of the female pros are keen to get the gig, as the same sex pairing is one of the 'Strictly's boldest moves to date."
Katya previously admitted she'd be keen to form a same-sex partnership on 'Strictly'.
Speaking earlier this year, she explained: "I would love to dance with a woman on the show.
"I think creatively it would be really interesting, and I love coming up with new ideas for stuff. So on that side, I think it would be quite interesting."
