Tom Hardy Rumors Grow Stronger As The Next James Bond

Tom Hardy

Whenever an actor has been cast in the role of James Bond, it never takes long for people to start predicting who could replace the actor as 007 once he retires. With Daniel Craig’s fifth and final movie as the iconic spy in No Time to Die coming soon, there have been several theories presented by fans on who could be the next actor to replace him. One popular actor who fans are hoping to see play the character is Tom Hardy.

Known for his appearances in films such as Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk and The Revenant, Hardy has gained critical acclaim through his performances and has been one of the top choices to play the character for quite some time. Despite the fact that there are many people who want to see Hardy take on the role of Bond, there are some factors that make it hard for this casting choice to work. It is not common for such a recognizable talent to play 007, with the role previously having gone to lesser known actors. Furthermore, Hardy has proven to be an actor who is in high demand, meaning that he may be too busy to play the role when the time comes. Despite that, it was reported in June that Hardy had a very successful audition for the character, and that it would be announced that he would take over for Craig. However, due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the announcement was postponed. If Hardy was to be cast as the iconic fictional character, it would most likely be a huge hit for the fans that want to see him in the role, and for the studio as they can possibly make more money with a recognizable name like Hardy as their lead in a movie.

No Time to Die will be directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and will be released on November 12 in the United Kingdom and November 20 in the United States. It will not be long before they announce the next actor to replace Craig. A trailer featuring Rami Malik was released last week.
