Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for the coronavirus and is to miss Thursday's Europa League qualifier and two Italian Serie A games, his club AC Milan have said.
The Swedish veteran went into self isolation at home a day after the Rossoneri's reserve Leo Duarte was found positive in a routine swab test.
“All other team members and staff have tested negative,” the club said.
The quarantine, which lasts 14 days, will sideline the striker for the EL qualifier against visiting Bodo/Glimt and the Serie A games against league newcomers Crotone and Spezia.
Ibrahimovic, who turns 39 on October 3, opened the domestic campaign with a brace that sealed a 2-0 win against Bologna on Monday.
