Xbox boss teases future Bethesda projects

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has teased future games from Bethesda.

Microsoft's gaming chief has admitted he knows what the studio - which was bought by the tech giant as part of its $7.5 billion ZeniMax acquisition - is working on next, and he promised an "incredibly exciting time" ahead.

Appearing on Major Nelson's podcast, he said: "I have the benefit of knowing the future roadmap and having some insight into the things that have been both announced and unannounced that the teams are working on.

"It's an incredibly exciting time for the work that Bethesda's studios are doing, as they continue with the craft of creating games and also thinking about how our medium of gaming continues to evolve and their role in that."

In terms of those already announced, fans can look forward to 'Starfield' and 'The Elder Scrolls VI', as well as a third 'Wolfstein' game.

Meanwhile, Spencer also addressed Microsoft's huge deal for the studio, and described the move as a "natural" next step for their working relationship.

He added: "You find teams out there that are always pushing themselves and their own capability, and I fundamentally believe that the more closely we work with teams like that, the better we are as a platform."
