innocent splits from MAD Lions, discusses team's struggles The Polish in game leader leaves the team after only two months

In-game leader Paweł "innocent" Mocek has announced that he has parted ways with MAD Lions. The news comes less than two months into his stint with the team, during which the Pole played in only 27 maps.

"I don't see myself leaving as a big let down, it was actually a big surprise for me to get an opportunity to join four Danes, and I was pretty aware that sooner or later the team will either turn more international or go back to Danish as a result of theirs or mine decision, it's for sure not healthy in the long run.", innocent said in his TwitLonger statement.

MAD Lions found itself in need of a fifth player after the departure Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen to Astralis in August. Despite the addition of innocent from Illuminar Gaming, MAD's transition from a full-Danish roster to an international one failed to yield successful results, with the team finishing ninth in ESL One Cologne 2020 and in last place in DreamHack Open Summer 2020.

MAD's win rate fell from 70% before the player break to 42.9%, with most of their best results coming against lesser-known teams at the Eden Arena Malta Vibes Cup 9.

Among other things, innocent revealed on his Facebook page that both his inexperience with the lurker role and his teammates' limited proficiency in English were key factors in MAD's underperforming.

He also speculated that the team would be going back to playing with a full Danish roster instead of another international one in the future.

As for his own future, innocent stated he's looking to get back in action.

"I am not looking to take a break, I don't have burnout symptoms. I am still putting all my time into Counter-Strike, watching demos, shadow.gg of players and teams, I spend a lot of time on DM and trying to play every FPL game possible," innocent said.
