Statewide Car Caravan Against Prop 22 Concludes

SAN FRANCISCO \- Over 250 rideshare drivers will rally in front of Uber Headquarters as part of the final stop of “Drive to the Ballot,” a statewide car caravan that will make its way across California, bringing their No on Prop 22 message to five cities in two days. The fifth and final stop is in San Francisco at 12 noon at Uber HQ, 1455 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103.

On Wednesday drivers will launch the caravan from San Diego and make stops in Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Fresno. As Californians begin voting in this unprecedented election, drivers are taking their No on Prop 22 message directly to voters, refusing to be silenced by Uber, Lyft, and DoorDash’s record-breaking $185 million spending campaign to pass the ballot initiative they wrote.

Joined by labor and community leaders, the drivers will stop at Uber Headquarters to warn of the deepening racial inequality that will result from Prop 22, as it would permanently lock a workforce comprised of 78% people of color into sub-minimum wages and jobs with no benefits.
