‘Fortnite’s install size is now over 60 GB smaller!
The popular game has received many updates and extra content over the years, which has caused the file size to become much larger than it originally was.
But the title’s new version 14.40 update has seemingly confronted this issue by significantly reducing the game’s size.
When announcing the update on the game’s official Twitter page, developer Epic Games announced that the update was going to be 27 GB: which is quite large for an update, but they explained that this large size is so they can “make optimizations on PC resulting in a massively reduced Fortnite file size (over 60 GB smaller), smaller downloads for future patches, and improved loading performance.”
