‘Cyberpunk 2077’ dev defends cut content

A ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ dev has defended the cut content.

The game has been in development for several years, and the first demo wasunveiled during E3 2018, and unsurprisingly some plans have changed during this time.

These changes include some planned content being cut from the game, including the wall-running function. While some gamers have criticised this, the game's senior level designer Miles Tost has defended the decision to cut out some of the content.

He said in a statement: “Cutting features and scope is a very normal part of development. You can witness it so openly with our game, because we happily gave in to community wishes and showed you that 2018 demo. Think about it. The game—two years from release.”

Tost also added: “Of course we iterate and change stuff and of course we also will have ideas that sound great on paper but then doesn't end up working out well in the game with all the other features."
