Halo Infinite developers slam turtling claims

'Halo Infinite' developers have hit back at criticism they are "turtling up" with teasers for their new game.

343 Industries - the makers of the game - have been teasing features of the new offering, which has been delayed until 2021, but fans have felt less impressed about the kind of information on offer.

When one fan asked: "I just want to know why we haven’t seen more on a game that was set to release 14 days from now. You guys said you wouldn’t turtle up but you have. Respectfully, it’s a legitimate question."

John Junyszek, Community Manager at 343 Industries, replied: "Hey Craig - I would disagree on the turtling comment. We just explained what coatings are, showed of two new renders, and followed up with clarifications here on Twitter. Yes, this may be different news than you might have hoped for, but it certainly isn't turtling."

It comes after 'Halo Infinite' promised future users an "AAA player investment experience".

Microsoft were recruiting a new member of the team, a Live Design Lead, to work on the 'Halo' series and it has given some insight into what fans can expect from future updates or games.

They wrote in the official job listing: "343 Industries is looking for an experienced Live Team Design Lead to lead and join our Halo team. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to impact the future of one of the industry's most successful franchises through your creative and leadership skills. The Live Team Design Lead will be part of the core team that defines and drives the design vision of the game while being a source of inspiration and leadership for the entire team. The ideal candidate possesses boundless imagination, a deep understanding of the game development process, the ability to ideate, combined with the skills to communicate and direct the design efforts of the team. The ideal candidate must have a great passion for games with social features, a desire to build a strong community, as well as a deep understanding of various business models found in both mobile and AAA games."
