Fortnite Season 5 'will change' the future of the game

Fortnite Season five will “change the future” of the game.

The online game is set to face some major changes, according to ‘Fornite’ leaker FireMonkey who shared details of a closed Zoom call between journalist Geoff Keighley and video game designer Donald Mustard.

A Twitter post said: “In a recent Zoom call with Geoff Keighley and Donald Mustard, a few hints had been revealed about the future of Fortnite.

“This info comes from a source who would like to remain anonymous however is credible.”

A picture detailing the leak read: “This information came from a source who contact me. At first I didn’t pay much attention into it but I managed to verify this zoom call DID happen, as recently Geoff has been doing multiple Zoom calls between fans and people like Phil Spencer/Donald Mustard.”

It continued: “There will be an announcement at the Game Awards for ‘Fortnite’. The Game Awards take place December 10th.

“A new recording session with Troy Baker Took place, for thos who don’t know, Troy Baker voiced John Jones in the Device event.

“This Seasons event is “The biggest event they’ve done and it will change the future of ‘Fortnite’

“When asked about getting ‘Fortnite’ into the Smash Bros universe, Donald Mustard simply stated he can’t comment about it (sic).”

What’s more, it has been speculated that the new gameplay will feature a new currency to purchase items within matches.

According to a new leak posted on Twitter by HYPEX, a new "Wad" item could be added to stashes and safes.

It read: "A new "Wad" item/currency got added this update to the loot pool, it's planned to spawn in stashes & a safe (thanks to @Not0fficer for the help).”
