JB Gill sprayed in face during ‘terrifying’ burglary

JB Gill was sprayed in the face during a "terrifying" burglary at his home.

The JLS star was rushed to hospital after having an unknown substance sprayed in his face, whilst his wife Chloe Gill was "threatened" with a knife, when thieves broke into their farmhouse.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "This was a terrifying incident. JB was sprayed in the face and the gang threatened Chloe with a knife. He wanted to protect her and their kids but the best way to do that was to cooperate with the gang. Police and medics rushed to the house and JB was taken to hospital. Luckily, he wasn’t badly hurt and was able to leave later that day."

A spokesperson for the singer added: "The family are all well and safe, having increased home security."

Meanwhile, JB - who has children Ace and Chiara with his wife Chloe - previously revealed how his home on the farm in the Kent countryside is a "sanctuary to escape to".

He said: "It was about having a sanctuary to escape to. I knew I never wanted to be a ‘gentleman farmer with others doing all the work ... One similarity is that you are busy all of the time and everyday there is something to do. But whilst I had a manager in show business, when you run a farm, you need to keep on top of everything. Thankfully Chloe is a huge support.

"When you see all of the hard work, effort and dedication that goes into livestock it is impossible not to appreciate what farmers do in order to put food on our table. That includes arable farmers, who are cultivating fields for crops that go into vegan and vegetarian products. Everyone is part of farming."
