This year has gone quick! Christmas is just around the corner and after the crazy year we’ve had, we all deserve to have a much needed celebration with family, friends, and lovers. Christmas is the perfect time to reflect and give thanks for the many wonderful things that we have in our lives. However, it’s always important to consider all those in positions less fortunate. What better time to spread love and happiness to all with Christmas cheer and charity!
Grand Hyatt Tokyo will be hosting their annual holiday charity program for 2020 from Nov. 13 to Dec. 25. The theme this year is “Draw Your Happiness”, where the event will be decorated in a white winter wonderland to signify a blank canvas where each person can “draw” their own happiness. The white canvas acts as a fresh start for new beginnings and the power to draw inspires all future possibilities.
The charity program will feature a beautifully-decorated lobby with photo spots and donation boxes, holiday hampers, and charitable ornaments for sale in order to support people with disabilities, people displaced by conflict around the world as well as children in regions hit by devastating natural disasters.
In collaboration with Re Kikou, a non-profit organization which employs people with disabilities to recycle corks into new products, Grand Hyatt Tokyo will be offering a beautiful array of handcrafted ornaments, and themed tiles with images of children’s paintings from Kids Earth Fund, which can be purchased at all their restaurants and bars, as well as their front desk, the Grand Club and Nagomi Spa and Fitness.
All proceeds from the sale of these ornaments and tiles will be donated to the Kids Earth Fund, a worldwide nonprofit organization that works to promote peace and environmental conservation through the medium of children’s art. A holiday charity hamper filled the ornaments along with sweets, cookies, and more will also be available for purchase from the Fiorentina Pastry Boutique.
“Draw Your Happiness” Instagram Campaign
All guests are invited to share their photos taken at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo on their Instagrams for the chance to win some dining gift vouchers.
Three winners will be picked that best represent:
- The “2020 Memories at Grand Hyatt Tokyo” award;
- The most photogenic picture;
- The photo that best captures the “Draw Your Happiness” theme.
