The World Economic Forum’s Great Reset initiative is picking up steam on Twitter. The Great Reset is basically the organization’s plan to impose socialism on the world, and the World Economic Forum wants to use the pandemic as a reason to do so.

What is the World Economic Forum's Great Reset?

For those who aren't familiar with the initiative, Utah senatorial candidate Sam Parker summed it up in a tweet:

The Great Reset essentially rolls all the social justice campaigns into one, which may not sound bad on the surface. However, when you really look at what the World Economic Forum wants to do, it's clearly an elitist attempt to push socialism under the banner of vague ideas.

Using the pandemic

Perhaps one of the most telling elements of the World Economic Forum's Great Reset is the fact that world leaders want to use the COVID-19 pandemic to further their agenda. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau advocated for the Great Reset, calling the pandemic an opportunity for a reset and repeating the "build back better" campaign slogan used by U.S. President-elect Joe Biden.

The problem is that Trudeau and the WEF want to use the pandemic to exert control over the world's population under the guise of preventing the spread of COVID-19. They want to accelerate their push toward socialism and control but not in support of science. It's about control.

"This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset," Trudeau told the United Nations in September. "This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change."

World Economic Forum wants to take away rights for the Great Reset

Tucker Carlson of Fox News noted this week that Trudeau's statement reveals how he wants to use the pandemic "to impose unprecedented social controls on the population in order to bypass democracy and change everything to conform with their weird academic theories that have never been tested in the real world and, by the way, don't actually make any sense."

Carlson pointed out that Biden has promised more masks, quarantines, limits and restrictions. Leaders are totally controlling every detail of our lives, but if the controlling measures were doing what they are supposed to do, we wouldn't be having soaring numbers of coronavirus cases around the world. If the masks and lockdowns were working, the number of cases should be going down rather than up.

Carlson called attention to a letter written by Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano to President Donald Trump about the lockdowns. He said up until February, no one would've thought that in all cities, "citizens would be arrested simply for wanting to walk down the street, to breathe, to want to keep their businesses open, to want to go to church on Sunday." However, it is happening around the world.

"The fundamental rights of citizens and believers are being denied in the name of a health emergency that is revealing itself more and more fully as instrumental to the establishment of an inhuman, faceless tyranny," Vigano wrote.

Vague ideas with control exerted

Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum wrote about his Great Reset and also linked it to the pandemic. However, the book has nothing to do with the pandemic. He talks about "what changes will be needed to create a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable world going forward."

It's unclear just what changes he's talking about, but what is clear, according to Carlson, is that we are all going to pay for those changes, and the world's leaders will benefit from them. He pointed out that California Governor Gavin Newsom predicted in March that more than 25 million people or 56% of his state's population would be infected with COVID-19 in eight weeks.

However, by Nov. 15, only 2.6% of Californians were infected. Instead of declaring that a victory, even more lockdowns have been ordered, but Newsom apparently doesn't feel like he needs to follow the rules because he was caught eating at one of California's most expensive restaurants with about 12 other people. He's not the only politician who doesn't believe the rules he imposed apply to him. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot told MSNBC that she isn't obligated to follow the lockdown restrictions that others could be arrested for violating.
