Olivia Wilde Claps Back At Candace Owens For Her Insults About Harry Styles’ ‘Vogue’ Photos

PACIFIC PALISADES, CA - OCTOBER 06: Olivia Wilde attends the Ninth-Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic Los Angeles at Will Rogers State Historic Park on October 6, 2018 in Pacific Palisades, California.

Olivia Wilde has clapped back to conservative political commentator Candace Owens‘ tweet about Harry Styles‘ recent Vogue photo shoot.

Owens had quote-tweeted Vogue‘s post promoting the shoot over the weekend, writing out a criticism aimed at Styles’ choice to wear a dress in some of the photos.

“There is no society that can survive without strong men,” Owens wrote. “The East knows this. In the west, the steady feminization of our men at the same time that Marxism is being taught to our children is not a coincidence. It is an outright attack. Bring back manly men.”

Wilde, who will be co-starring with Styles in her upcoming film Don’t Worry Darling, offered Owens a simple and abrasive reply.

“You’re pathetic,” she wrote.

Hundreds of fans praised both Wilde and Styles in the quote tweets and replies, but Owens did not respond to Wilde’s comment directly, choosing instead to reply to a user who tried to explain the history behind Styles’ choices and Elijah Wood, who she is an apparent fan of.

“PSA: Mining pictures on the internet of men in dresses is not going to suddenly make me attracted to men in dresses,” she wrote. “I’m impervious to woke culture. Showing me 50 examples of something won’t make it any less stupid.”

“DON’T TEMPT ME, FRODO!!!” she dismissed Wood’s response.

Owens also tweeted about how she herself enjoys traditional standards of masculinity and femininity, meaning that other women should pursue those ideals too.

“Wait until they find out that I also think women should be feminine — and I enjoy cooking for and taking care of my husband,” she wrote.
