L.A. Rams Announce A Player Has Tested Positive For COVID-19

LA Rams honor local firefighters, first responders amid wildfires

The Los Angeles Rams announced that a player has tested positive for coronavirus.

The team released a statement through Twitter on Tuesday. “The player immediately entered self-quarantine and out of an abundance of caution, we are entering intensive protocol,” the team said on Twitter. Other than select players with assigned rehab, all football activities will take place remotely on Wednesday.

This comes after the NFL implemented guidelines for intensive protocols in response to an outbreak of positive tests from the Tennesee Titans last month. The protocols established that there will be rapid tests and daily PCR testing, virtual meetings and mandatory masks on players on the field. Gloves will be used by players on the field during practice and a ban on player gatherings away from the facility.

The Rams will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday. The Rams are currently second in the NFC West.
