shroud admits that he wouldn't care if Twitch banned him It would be a little vacation.

When Félix "xQc" Lengyel was caught stream sniping in a Twitch-run Fall Guys tournament, Michael "shroud" Grzesiek was quick to point out that it went against Twitch's Code of Conduct. But that didn't necessarily mean that shroud wanted xQc banned.

In fact, the former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional was quick to say that xQc probably wouldn't get banned anyway.

“I actually didn’t think he was going to get banned. A lot of people were saying it was blown out of proportion. I think it was the opposite. I thought it wasn’t blown up enough, and I thought Twitch was just going to let it slide,” shroud admitted earlier this week.

Soon after, however, xQc was hit with a seven-day ban. Was shroud surprised? Maybe. Did he think the ban mattered? Not really.

shroud says xQc Twitch ban won't do anything

shroud told viewers in an earlier stream that he was "shocked" to wake up and see the tweets announcing xQc's ban. For shroud, it meant that Twitch was "keeping it consistent" when it came to punishment, something that he was happy to see.

But shroud acknowledged that getting banned doesn't have the same impact for big streamers like xQc. He pointed out the time that Herschel "Dr Disrespect" Beahm IV was banned for a month after streaming in a bathroom during E3. According to shroud, the popular personality came back "stronger than ever."

"Getting banned doesn't really mean anything," shroud said. "It's weird how getting banned for a big streamer is a best-case scenario, which makes zero sense."

shroud wasn't wrong. xQc posted a satirical tweet soon after the ban, showing how bored and empty he was without being able to stream for a week. It was clear that xQc wasn't taking the ban too seriously.

Even though Twitch's biggest streamers are not affected by bans, and sometimes even come back after bans with more viewers than ever, shroud told his followers that he wasn't planning on getting banned himself.

"I strive to never get banned. Hopefully, I never do," shroud said.

But the Valorant streamer quickly noted that he wouldn't really care if he did end up getting a ban.

"Getting banned doesn't really do anything. You take a little vacation and come back swinging," shroud said.
