Bobby Brown Jr., son of Bobby Brown Sr. and Kim Ward, has died at 29.

While the cause of death has yet to be revealed, he is the second of Bobby Brown Sr.’s children to have died in recent years after his daughter by the late Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown, died from irreversible brain damage.

Bobby Jr. was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment on November 19. The son of the notorious musician’s cause of death is yet undetermined. His death was later confirmed by a social media post by his brother Landon, who posted an image of Bobby Jr. in a prayer pose with his eyes closed, with a caption that read, “I love you forever King.”

Junior’s death comes five years after that of his older half-sister, Bobbi, who was also found unresponsive in her apartment. Bobbi was found with several forms of narcotics in her system that led to her brain damage, months-long coma and eventual death. Afterward, she was buried next to her mother, Whitney Houston, who died under eerily similar circumstances.

According to Junior’s own mother, Houston had a cold relationship with the two. In an interview with Boston Magazine, Ward said of Houston, “She had a problem with little Bobby.” The rivalry most likely stemmed from Brown Sr.’s ongoing relationships with women that led to the birth of seven children by different mothers.

Bobby Sr. has yet to make a statement about his son’s death. He once shared a solemn post displaying the image of Bobbi as a young girl with the caption, “There’s no way to explain how I feel I miss you so much little girl you stay in my heart on my mind every day daddy loves you.”
