Turk Telekom (TT) reported on its website that it has built 75 new base stations so far this year in the ten eastern provinces within the operator’s Erzurum Regional Directorate, taking its total cell sites in the regional sub-group to 1,000. The expansion has boosted TT’s 4G LTE mobile network coverage across the ten provinces to 84.3% and the company said it will continue to invest significantly in infrastructure deployment and service quality improvement across the east and other remote regions of Turkey. TeleGeography notes that in total, across all 81 provinces of the country, TT currently covers 94% of the national population with its 4G LTE network services, up from 92% reported at end-March 2020.
