Fortnite: Charge & Dragon Breath Shotgun Buffed Amid Negative Feedback

Epic Games improve the Charge and Dragon Breath Shotgun.

Fortnite Chapter 2 - Season 4 concluded early this week, ending the Marvel Comics storyline after nearly a four-month run. Players were excited to experience a new season, but the game suffered from some crucial changes from Season 4 to Season 5. The biggest of above all else was the beloved Pump Shotgun’s removal. Both the casual and competitive following stood in agreement that removing the Pump doesn’t make sense, given its popularity. Regardless, Epic instead brought back a relatively weak Tactical Shotgun and the polarizing Charge Shotgun, which first appeared in Chapter 2 - Season 3.

Season 5 also features a brand new Dragon’s Breath Shotgun, which does not offer much incentive to use it, considering the long reload time and only one shot per clip. The Charge Shotgun has its issues due to the charging feature and inconsistent damage output. As a response to the communal outcry, Epic Games made some adjustments to the Charge and Dragon Fire Shotgun to make both more viable.
