Asmongold discovers the new meaning behind OTK stream team Is OTK a cult?

Popular World of Warcraft streamer Zack "Asmongold" formed a WoW content creator team with four of his friends and fellow Twitch streamers in October. And that team may have just taken on a new meaning.

The World of Warcraft crew was named OTK, short for One True King. It includes Asmongold, Matthew "Mizfit" Rinaudo, Esfand, Tipsout, and esports host Rich Campbell. The content creators have worked on projects together in the past, but this is the first time they have officially come together under one name.

This was initially a wholesome announcement that excited the World of Warcraft community. But Asmongold soon discovered that his team of WoW legends had overlooked some things while coming up with the organization name.

In a recent stream earlier this week, Asmongold joked with fans about the sexually explicit alternative meaning behind OTK. While Asmongold and his fellow streamers meant it to stand for One True King, OTK is also a common acronym for "Over the Knee." Over the Knee is a well-established term in the BDSM community that describes the act of spanking. This hilarious coincidence led some within the World of Warcraft community to discover OTK-branded spanking paddles on Amazon.

All Asmongold could say was: "Oh god. I didn't know that."

This has become a pretty widespread joke with World of Warcraft fans at this point. More recently, OTK had to emphasize once again that they are not associated with BDSM or any other fetish communities.

In response, Asmongold fans have started flooding the replies with GIFs of OTK members spanking each other on trampolines and inside kitchens. For many dedicated fans, this has been enough to confirm that OTK is indeed a sex cult, and nothing, not even Asmongold's protestations, may be able to convince them otherwise.
