343 Industries reveals when they will stop supporting online services for Xbox 360 Halo games

343 Industries has revealed when they will stop supporting online services for Halo games that are on the Xbox 360.

The video game developer has told gamers that the online servers for ‘Halo: Reach’, ‘Halo 4,’ ‘Halo 3’, ‘Halo 3: ODST’, ‘Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary’, ‘Spartan Assault’ and ‘Halo Wars’ will be deactivated in December 2021.

They explained that the reason for this is because the number of people using the online features for the Xbox 360 titles have continued “to dwindle” over time.

343 Industries stated in a recent update on the Halo Waypoint: “The month over month usage of these legacy Xbox 360 game services continues to dwindle, creating an even greater imbalance between the time and work required to maintain vs. the net impact to the overall Halo community.”

However, the update did also say that the offline features for the games will still be available for players to use.
