PlayStation Gaming Gift Guide: ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, ‘Demon’s Souls’ and more

Christmas is fast approaching: if you need to get a last-minute gift for a PlayStation fan in your family, we have a list of some of the best PlayStation titles that were released this year.

Our first game on the list is ‘The Last Of Us Part 2’ (which was released for the PS4). It may have divided fans with some of the narrative choices, but we personally loved seeing a slightly more grown-up Ellie in the game and found it interesting how the game explores moral ambiguity and the theme of revenge. We also loved seeing how visually impressive the game was.

Next is the remake of the 2009 title ‘Demon’s Souls’ which was recently released: the action role-playing game is perfect for gamers who love a challenge. The game is a PS5 exclusive: and the graphics have been massively improved compared to the original. We especially recommend this game for people who enjoyed ‘Dark Souls’ and ‘Bloodborne’.

Our next suggestion is ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, which was released for the PS4 in July, and has received a ton of praise from both gamers and critics. As well as people enjoying the title’s story and gameplay, it has also been praised for its impressive re-imagining of 13th-century Japan,

Our final game is ‘Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales’, which was a launch title for the PS5 (But there is also a PS4 version), and it has proved to be a great follow up to 2018’s ‘Marvel’s Spider-Man’. While it’s shorter than the previous title, the game makes up for it with stunning visuals, and how well the characters are written.
