Bah Humbug: Times celebrities have acted like Scrooges

Many people love the festive season: but not everyone! We’ve put together a list of times celebrities have opened up about not liking the holiday.

Colin Firth stars in the Christmas classic ‘Love Actually’, but according to a report by The Daily Mail, he previously revealed that he actually has a “profound loathing of Christmas”, and added that Christmas songs playing on the radio “plunge [him] into the heart of Scrooge territory”.

Ariana Grande released her hit tune ‘Santa Tell Me’ in 2014, but the singer previously told The Daily Star that she is actually “repulsed by Santa”, especially since she has “had her heart broken multiple times around this time of year”.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus admitted on Instagram in 2016 that the festive holiday “always makes [her] feel deeply sad”, since she thinks Christmas “is filled with so much excessiveness & greed”.

Another celebrity grinch is rocker Ozzy Osbourne. He previously said to The Express that he hates Christmas because “everything stops” during the festive holiday, and he sees having to unwrap Christmas presents as “a waste of paper”.
