Corrigan's Gambling Corner: Christmas Day

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope everyone stays safe and has a good holiday. Just because we are celebrating with family doesn’t mean we won’t be making some money on games today. Might as well earn some money while we watch basketball and football all day.

2020 Record: 128-122-5

NBA Best Bet: Celtics vs Nets (-3)

Even if it was against a banged-up and slightly bad Warriors team, the Nets looked really impressive in their first game that featured both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. I’m not sure if there is a team in the East that is above the other, but the Nets have the talent to do so. I think that the Nets will start hot this season and the Celtics are just going to be in the way.

NFL Best Bet: Vikings vs Saints (-7)

Drew Brees had a rough go of it in his return against the Chiefs. He was, however, able to make the game competitive later in the game. The Saints are sneakily the most well-balanced team in the league. If they can give Brees some time to throw (The Vikings own the sixth-worst pressure rate,) The Saints should win this game pretty easily.

CFB Best Bet: Marshall (+3.5) vs Buffalo

Buffalo could be without Jaret Patterson (at the time I am writing this, he is questionable) which would be a massive blow to this team. His absence was noticeable in the MAC Championship loss. Even if he does play, Marshall is ranked in the top-10 in defense against the run. Marshall just needs to play their game, and they should win this game pretty easily.

Other NBA Games:

Pelicans vs Heat (-4)

Warriors vs Bucks U/232

Mavs vs Lakers O/227.5

Clippers vs Nuggets O/224.5
