The games we’re most excited to play in 2021

2020 is nearly over: so here are the top games we’re looking forward to that are set to be released in 2021.

‘Halo Infinite’ was originally supposed to be a launch title for the Xbox Series X: but the game ended up being delayed. The highly anticipated game will hopefully be released at some point in 2021: and given how much we enjoyed the previous games in the ‘Halo’ franchise, we can hardly wait!

Another game we’re looking forward to is ‘Resident Evil Village’. The next instalment in the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise was first announced during the PlayStation 5 reveal event in June 2020, and it looks just as terrifying as the previous games. The trailers also feature a werewolf and other seemingly supernatural elements, and we’re curious about how these will be relevant to the game’s story.

We’re also looking forward to ‘Hitman 3’: the title will be the eighth main instalment in the Hitman franchise, and the third and final instalment of the World of Assassination trilogy. The trailers have shown off the visuals of the game, and we can’t wait to see how the series will end!

We’re also excited to play ‘God of War: Ragnarok’! Santa Monica Studio released a very short teaser trailer for the game in September, which will be the sequel to 2018’s hit game ‘God Of War’ and the fifth instalment in the franchise. Judging by the name, the game will carry on the Norse mythology theme from the previous title. The post-credit scene shows Atreus have a prophetic dream about Thor, the Norse God of thunder, arriving at Kratos and Atreus's home. So hopefully we’ll get to see an epic battle between Kratos and Thor in the game.
