Lamar Jackson received a satisfying win after leading the Baltimore Ravens over the Tennessee Titans. The win marked the Ravens’ first playoff wins in six years and the first for Jackson at the helm. Despite the win, Jackson was in no mood to shake hands with his defeated opponents. The reigning league MVP opted to not shake hands, and instead, headed into the locker room after the win.

The reason behind Jacksons’ refusal to shake hands with the Titans stems from their actions during their regular-season matchup when Titans’ players stepped on the Ravens team logo. Jackson recalled this incident as he spoke to reporters after the game, “I feel it was just disrespecting to see what went on before the game the last time we played those guys, and they were standing on our logo and seeing them get into it with our [head] coach,” Jackson said.

The QB defended his actions for refusing to shake hands, saying it was fair. “We’ll be the bigger guy, so we just walked off the field. I feel like we were being the bigger guys.”

Following their wild-card victory, some Ravens players went to celebrate by dancing and standing on the Titans logo as retribution. While Jackson did not participate in this, he still put on a strong performance against Tennessee to beat them.

The Pro-Bowler finished with 179 passing yards, completing 17 passes out of 24 attempts, and one rushing touchdown in their 20-13 win. Baltimore advances to the divisional round to face the Buffalo Bills.
