GODSENT has officially revealed its overhauled Counter-Strike: Global Offensive lineup, featuring a lineup of Brazilian veterans.
The Swedish organization has finally confirmed the signing of a Brazilian roster led by some of South America's top stars. Managed by Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia, the team reunites Epitácio "TACO" de Melo and João "felps" Vasconcellos under the GODSENT umbrella. The roster was previously leaked by GODSENT in a job application.
Switching from its earlier international squad, GODSENT is looking for a fresh start with an all-Brazilian lineup. The organization re-enters the arena with Team One's Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara and YEAH Gaming's Eduardo "dumau" Wolkmer. The fifth slot will be filled by Bruno "latto" Rebelatto who previously played for RED Canids. The young trio will be led by the MIBR veterans.
According to the release, the project is spearheaded by dead, who was suspended from MiBR during the coaching bug abuse controversy. Olavo "cky" Napoleão will be filling the coaching role, with dead managing the CSGO division. dead is in the middle of an ESIC suspension for his alleged cheating.
The release confirms that all players have been signed to minimum three-year contracts. The team will debut in late January in the European region.
GODSENT announces its Brazilian CSGO roster
GODSENT's team is a mix of ambitious youngsters and veterans who have played on CSGO's grandest stages. The project will bring back the Brazilian veterans felps and TACO, who helped establish Brazil as one of CSGO's strongest countries. It seems that he is once again gearing up to revive the declining scene.
"We are very confident that we will do epic things together in the coming years. We want to thank Dead, Taco and the team for their passion and for bringing this about," GODSENT executives Henrik Denebrandt and Ludwig Sandgren said.
Former MiBR coach Raphael "cogu" Camargo is also setting up a project of six players for 2021 that features Vito "kNgV-" Giuseppe, Alencar "trk" Rossato, Henrique "HEN1" Teles, and Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles. His project will add another interesting team to what is set to be a wide-open Americas region. While MiBR's breakup was unfortunate, it seems that the core going different ways may turn out to be fruitful for the Brazilian esports as a whole, with more talent set to compete in larger events.
