FalleN shuts down Evil Geniuses with an amazing AWP ace FalleN is back.

In a match against Evil Geniuses, recent Team Liquid signee Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo showed that he remains a fearsome AWPer.

The BLAST Premier Global Final 2020 semifinals featured a showdown between Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid. Everyone on Team Liquid had a chance to shine against a flailing Evil Geniuses, but FalleN's AWP stood out the most during the 2-0 victory.

In the final round of Inferno's first half, Evil Geniuses' meek try at a smoke walk-in was fiercely shut down by FalleN. Led by Tarik "tarik" Celik, the trio from Evil Geniuses sauntered into the smoke towards arches. While Keith "NAF" Markovic failed to win his duel, FalleN was hyper-aware of the enemy's movement.

Scouting from Library, FalleN's map information netted him kills on Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and tarik in a brutal collateral. From here, the damage control for Evil Geniuses had become impossible.

Avenging NAF, FalleN put Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte to rest and instantly moved towards B site. Ethan "Ethan" Arnold and Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov's plan B was seemingly viable as their A push had emptied all Counter-Terrorists from the other site. However, FalleN wasn't settling for anything less than an ace.

Evil Geniuses tried to breach the site with a run boost, but FalleN seemed to have that play read. The Brazilian AWPer caught Cerq in the air with a flick, leaving only Ethan alive. With his flimsy P250, Ethan had no choice but to give in and walk into FalleN crosshairs, ultimately losing the round.

Team Liquid eliminates Evil Geniuses from BLAST Premier Global Final

FalleN has been a mighty force in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for 15 years. However, the recent slump of MiBR had dulled his performance. His move to team Liquid seems to have breathed some life back into him, as he showcased his legendary skills in BLAST Premier Finals.

The AWPer came in as a replacement for Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. Despite the presumptions that FalleN may fail to be a kill-machine, his recent performance shows that he may effectively replace the Canadian player with his trusty AWP.

Thanks to FalleN's contribution, Team Liquid easily bested Evil Geniuses, eliminating them from the finals. Jake "Stewie2K" Yip led squad will now face Na'Vi, a team that Liquid sent to the lower bracket in FalleN's BLAST Premier debut.
